The next full moonshine run falls on November 23 (a Friday!), under the luminance of Beaver Moon because this was the time to set beaver traps before the swamps froze, to ensure a supply of warm winter furs.
Another interpretation suggests that the name Full Beaver Moon comes from the fact that the beavers are now actively preparing for winter. That certainly makes us busy beaver runners as we’re also preparing for winter runs (still holding out hope for a snowy full moon run this witer).
It is sometimes also referred to as the Frosty Moon. (source: Old Farmer’s Almanac.com)
Meetup is at 6:45pm from Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge PARKING JOLLY B for a 7pm start. Family and friends welcome to join us for this walk-friendly event.

Wear your reflective gear and a head lamp (which you’ll only need to illuminate for the rare oncoming vehicle on this country road) under this month’s full moon light. Bring your dog for an extra howlin’ good time.
