Autumn is definitely here! The next full moonshine run falls on Oct 24, under the luminance of Hunter’s Moon, who’s name dates back to the First Nations of North America. It is so-called because it was during the month of October, when deer had fattened themselves over the course of the summer, that hunters tracked and killed prey by autumn moonlight, stockpiling food for the coming winter. Meetup is at 7:45pm from Osborn Soccer Park south of Nolensville for a 8pm start. This month we’ll enjoy 4.5 miles of easy pace conversation for runners of all paces under the original running light. Course is an out-and-back, so runners are welcome to choose their own distance.
Wear your reflective gear and a head lamp (only illuminated for the rare vehicle on this country road) under this month’s full moon light.
Who’s in, ye luna-tics? Bring your friends; bring your dog.
Feel free to share with your running club and buddies. Full moonshine running is a must-experience experience.
Rain date is Thursday, October 26. Same time; same place.
