The next full moonshine run falls on August 14 under the luminance of the Sturgeon Moon as referred to by Native Americans because they knew that the sturgeon of the Great Lakes and Lake Champlain were most readily caught during this full Moon. Others called August’s full Moon the “Full Green Corn Moon,” signaling that the corn was nearly ready for harvest.
Meetup is at 8:45pm from Osborn Soccer Park south of Nolensville for a 9pm start and enjoy four miles of easy pace conversation for runners of all paces under the original running light. Course is an out-and-back, so runners are welcome to choose their own distance.
Wear your reflective gear and a head lamp (only illuminated for the rare vehicle on this country road) under this month’s full moon light. Bring a friend!
Who’s in, ye luna-tics?
Feel free to share with your running club and buddies. Full moonshine running is a must-experience experience.
Rain date is Thursday, August 15. Same time; same place.
